Our friend Carlos found this little nest-fallen fella when he was so young that he was still bald. Carlos and wife Lorena fed it with baby formula until he could take solids. Peanuts in the shell are his favorite treat. Their kids call Gerald ‘Jerry’ - yes, with a J, I am told.

This is his favorite hang out, where he is content to stay for hours.

When they put him on a tree limb this week, he just clung to it - spread eagle and wouldn’t budge! So Carlos is building him a large cage with tree limbs, in hopes of him learning how to navigate them. But somehow I doubt Gerald or the family really want him to live in the wilds. I wouldn’t! It is the most precious thing to pet him,,, he so loves human affection.
