He's got a good hiding spot. Notice how his shape blends right in with the shape and directions of the leaves. Since our rain has finally stopped I notice our hummers on the flowers more and less on the feeders.

This one is the self-designated land lord. You are so right about him choosing a good hiding spot - it is his lookout tower, where he lays in wait between feedings to scare any others off. I get so mad at him that I put a feeder right next to his perch and 4 others around the yard. But noooo, that's still not good enough for him to share with others. I saw him chasing a huge Spicebush butterfly from the garden today. argh.
