Here are the only other pics I have of Ms. Mousey - taken just before I released her back into the garden to play with the cats again. I can always tell it really is her that pops out of the borders to say hi, because of that strange bump on her nose, which is more visible in her baby pic that I posted on MK's thread. Oh, and her floppy ear.
I'm sure no one believes me about the cats playing with Mighty Mouse, without any damage. But look here - Mia brought her thru the cat flap yesterday, for us to play with her indoors.
I wonder if Mighty Mouse will bring her/his offspring back to visit too He really is a cute little thing - as long as he's at your place.
I know I know – it is nuts to get attached to something that should be scorned. But I seem to have experienced that old adage that ‘if you save a life, you are forever beholding’ to its well being from then on. You see - if I had caught it in the house, it would have been banished immediately. But having rescued it from a cat’s mouth,,, well, compassion overruled sense and now I’m stuck – esp since I’ve taken her away from the cats several times. But I shouldn’t bother, since they don’t break her and she keeps going back for more. I just hope she doesn’t remember how to come through the cat door by herself – and lets hope she’s comes down sterile
Your Mighty Mouse reminds me of our Tar Baby. We had rescued a little starling one year and fed it canned dog food for several times a day. Any other time we would have been glad to get rid of a starling - they hog the feeders and make a mess in the barns.
"ONLY IN AMERICA" or should I say "TEXAS"
Thanks for telling me about your Tarbaby MK - its nice to hear I'm not the only mush!
Aaah, David, I bet its a worldwide thing with gardeners. Hopeless critter huggers.
