Daughter Callie stayed with us a while before moving to Florida. She let her huge Walter discover the garden while they were here.

He is usually housebound, so it was quite an adventure for him to play 'tiger in the jungle'

About that purple halter on him - she kept a leash (lead, Terry:-) on him when they walked around the lawn, for fear of him scampering away too suddenly. The amusing bit is that she had to go back to the pet shop 3 times to get the right size. The one that finally fit was for 'Medium-sized Dogs'.

He poses for Maggie's camera just as nice as the birds :) He's a gorgeous cat - and that's from a dog lover. Maybe it's his size :)

Here I was just thinking that I have so much greening up in the gardens now - but your lovely jungle of greenery is much lusher than mine.

Here's a better idea of his size!

Hi,
I have a jungle cat, too. His name is Ching Ching and is just 1/3 the size of Walter. He hunts daily. Yesterday he captured a small rat,
Good Kitty, and the day before a sparrow, Bad Kitty. He looks totally Siamese, except for three little white toes on his left hind foot. He's pretty camera shy. I just wish he would stay home and chase those naughty squirrels out of my flower bed. Instead he climbs 20 feet up into the tree tops to chase them.

He adds to my gardening fun.

You are so right Berry. Aren't they wonderful company in the garden. And if only we could program their hunting habits. Unfortunately, I can't convince mine to leave the lizards and good garden snakes alone :-(

But it would be lonely to garden without them,, well, sometimes not... I have to put Moggy in the house when I'm trimming the knot garden lately. She wants to jump out of the hedge to surprise attack the snipping clippers. :-0

I've been thinking about Ching Ching, Berry... Isn't there a breed of mid-long hair that looks Siamese except that it has white feet? Maybe Balenese?

Here is the 1st pic I posted of Noble (same kitty as in the comestrollie pic), when he lived with my daughter.

He now lives with me and feels right at home here too :)

I thought our tom cat was a big one...Does he snack on small dogs?, bet your Yorkie was worried Maggie.

He has actually lost weight since having a garden to monitor! Beau dog isn't bothered by Nobel, but he is the only thing that can terrorize Moggy the Terror. Moggy won't even come into the house if she thinks Noble is inside. He tends to tear after her at lightening speed at every siting. Come to think of it, that is the only time Noble breaks out of his usual saunder and waller stances. As if I didn't have enough trouble trying to tame the wildling Moggy.

I finally got here Maggie, good to see natural enemies at play. He looks really comfortable on top of the step ladder, they do relax in the strangest places and poses.

Okay - I finally figured out how to stop the kitties from jumping into the pedestal bird baths for a drink -
