Hello,

what a beautiful web sight!
I am a beginner gardner and your garden is such an inspiration to me.
I have recently purchaesd some miniature roses
( the kind that has a big normal size blooms
- like hybrid tea but just smaller leaves and height)
And i am wondering if they are hardy to grow.
am in southern california = USDA zone 10.

THANKS!
Rumina in southern cali

Hi Rumina, Glad you found us.
I'm not sure which kind you are referring to exactly. I'm guessing its the type bred as 'landscape' rose bushes. Those are good and tough for sure, but still benefit from some tlc, to keep them at their best.

Otherwise,,
Do you have the registered names of the roses?
Are they grafted or on their own roots?
What kind of soil do you have and
what is your method of irrigation?
And thanks for your kind appreaciation of the site.

Thanks for the reply.
am not sure what kind they are...they look like
hybrid tea rose " century two" but just smaller.
very similar in flower color and shape...
i don't believe the tag specified at the Home Depot store. i believe it is from its own roots.

my soil is clay like so i have added organic
wood and leaves cliipings/ compost to amend it.
i have sprinkler that waters 3 x a week.

tks!
