Gail told me her ‘Marie Pave’ is producing 2 other colors besides the normal pale blush pink. Before seeing it (below) I had assumed the odd blooms were on growths suckering up from a grafted rootstock. But the odd blooms are of the same size and form of MP, rather than one of the usual rooting varieties. I have checked numerous text/photo sources without finding mention of this tricolor trick. Does Gail have a lovely new mutant sport here?!?!

Maggie one of the darker sports was introduced into the trade last year. They are available in select retail outlets but I can't remember what they are calling it! Strange that I have grown so many Marie Pavies and never had one sport. Drat!
