Larry is still savoring that delicious turkey we got from your organic farm Caro. It definitely has more flavor than sterile stuff from the store. And the yummy sausages disappeared in a flash! We are looking forward to trying some beef products next time from your Crown Hill Farm

So happy you enjoyed the turkey and sausage. Its been since childhood that most of us have tasted real poultry. We've forgotten that its actually supposed to have a flavor. You will be in for a treat with the very lean but tasty beef.

Looking forward to tasting some chicken too :)
Will the beef be one of those white monsters or are they for next years pantry
my question mark is not working again (and some of the caps) - means I need to reboot

The white monsters are the mommas. They will likely die of old age many years from now. We don't butcher adult animals as the quality of the meat is not the same as when they are about 8 mos. old.

However, the next ones to be processed will be the black angus, and everyone knows how good that beef is.

Good thing I raise flowers instead of cattle on this land that was once only good enough for grazing :) I learn something about ranching from you all the time
now my exclamation mark won't work argh - and some of the caps comes and goes. The shutdown doesn't seem to have helped this time.
missing caps makes these posts look my emails ;-)

Just come clean and admit to the drink Maggie, always the best way, don't go blaming the puter. :) How come everytime I come here I go away feeling hungry?

Somehow, the drink excuse sounds more interesting than lazy typist or naughty puter :-0

Why do we always talk about good food too? Maybe cause passionate gardeners savor ALL the best things in life :)

I could say it's all the hard work in the garden that gives me an appetite, but I would be telling porkies. (pork pies = lies....rhyming slang) See everything comes back to food.

Was just about to respond when I heard a big crash - and had to run down the apples and pairs.
Found Moggy in the pantry, inspecting the wares.
