There are dozens of plants in this garden that have been generally reported as the favorite feasts of butterflies, but my flutters flock to this generous weed (Verbesina encelioides) more often than many others -- including those named in honor of the claim: the butterfly bush Buddleia (now Buddleja), and butterfly flower Asclepias.

So indiscernible, it is hardy worth mentioning that this was the Spicebush Swallowtail, but gee, its a pretty shot.
