Jacob's ladder, corn lily or Byzantine gladiolus is a species gladiolus that is considered a treasured heirloom pass along plant in North American gardens. My original bulbs came from the garden of a second generation day lily breeder. I think it would be fascinating to be able to trace their passage all the way from their African or Mediterranean motherland. |
